DSF Reporting on Soil Quality & Retention progress

Proper soil management boosts soil health, water retention, and reduces runoff and erosion, leading to improved yields, lower flood risk, reduced pollution, and sustainable food production. Currently, 59% of DSF milk volume prioritises the Soil Quality and Retention Criteria. The latest DSF Annual Sustainability Progress Report shows an 8.1% increase since 2019 in farms with a Soil Quality Management Plan.

All the graphics in the DSF Annual Sustainability Progress report are available for DSF Implementing, Aggregating and Stage 1 members to use in their own work, just contact the DSF Secretariat if you would like these emailed to you.
