The global dairy sector was well represented at the recent Agriculture Innovation Mission for Climate (AIM4C) Summit, held May 8-10, 2023, in Washington, D.C. The summit was attended by more than 1,000 policymakers, industry leaders, producers, civil society, scientists and researchers worldwide.

Speakers at the Livestock Sector's Global Climate Ambition session

Pathways to Dairy Net Zero, the dairy sector’s global climate initiative, was featured at the Livestock Sector's Global Climate Ambition session. The session featured speakers from Global Dairy Platform, United States Agency for International Development, International Livestock Research Institute, Land O'Lakes Venture37, Global Methane Hub and a US Dairy Farmer (Marilyn Hershey). Together they highlighted the livestock sector’s ambition to reduce GHGs, adapt to climate change, improve livelihoods, and increase the availability of nutritious foods.

AIM4C is a joint initiative by the United States and United Arab Emirates that seeks to address climate change and global hunger by united participants to significantly increase investment and support for climate-smart agriculture and food systems innovation.
