DSF attains it’s 10 year anniversary – 2023!

Launched in 2013, at the IDF World Dairy Summit in Yokohama, Japan, the DSF is the result of a global, collaborative project initiated and delivered by the dairy sector.

The DSF is designed to provide the monitoring and aggregate reporting model for the dairy sector, globally, generating the data that underpins a strong narrative with credible evidence.

The DSF’s pre-competitive, continuous improvement framework model provides a supported network and system that all levels of the dairy value chain can collaborate and identify solutions to common sustainability challenges.

As has been the case over the previous five years, DSF members will be reporting their individual progress in the DSF Criteria they have prioritised using the DSF Indicator Metric that was developed through a scientific process by the University of Arkansas. The aggregate reporting will be released later in October 2023.

DSF Membership now represents over 31% of the global milk production, equivalent to 52% of milk traded through the global formal markets.  Here’s to the next ten years as we look forward to welcoming more organisations to join the DSF!
