Workshops Raise Food Safety Awareness among Dairy Producers in Senegal

Interesting to read in Agrilinks about these workshops , where more than 90% of the attendees were women, an initiative within a dairy safety project funded by the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Food Safety.  The aim of the project is to strengthen the safety of dairy and dairy products produced in Senegal.  Whilst the involvement of women in the dairy value chain is extensive, the engagement of young people is low and so the project will consider how to engage more people between the age of 15 and 35.  Find out more here.  Training like this covers several of the DSF Criteria - Product Safety and Quality, Rural Economies, Working Conditions, demonstrating the interconnectedness of the different Criteria - none are stand alone!
