IPCC Report on Climate Change and Land

27/09/2019

IPCC Report on Climate Change and Land

In August 2019, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change  (IPCC) released their report on Climate Change and Land.  The report shows that better land management can contribute to tackling climate change, but it is not the only solution.

The report finds that the world is best placed to tackle climate change when there is an overall focus on sustainability.

Despite some of the headlines suggesting that we should reduce meat consumption, the IPCC Report said: "animal-sourced food produced in resilient, sustainable & low-GHG emission systems present major opportunities for adaptation & mitigation while generating significant co-benefits in terms of human health”.
