Inside the DSF Annual Meeting: collaboration, global perspectives and practical ideas

The DSF Annual Meeting returns on November 3rd for three hours of insight, connection and practical learning from across the global dairy community—recognising the sector’s ambition and the significant investment already being made to deliver meaningful sustainability progress. It will showcase how organisations across the value chain are turning commitments into action through collaboration, innovation and practical solutions.

Meet your host: Gina Gutiérrez

We are delighted to share - guiding this year’s meeting will be M.C. Gina Gutiérrez—a fifth-generation dairy farmer, communicator and one of Global Dairy Platform’s (GDP) Dairy Ambassadors. Gina works as business manager alongside her father and brother, on their 500-cow dairy herd in the Mezquital Valley of central Mexico.

Gina was instrumental in linking her cooperative, Alpura’s sustainability program, with the DSF. Beyond the farm, she writes for four livestock magazines in Mexico and has built a substantial social media following focused on changing perceptions and sharing the health benefits of dairy foods. She is also Director of Community Engagement at Global Farmer Network, where she has been a member since 2016.

As the first woman in her family to work on the farm, where she has now spent 17 years, Gina brings a distinctive perspective to the role. Her leadership is especially fitting as the meeting celebrates the International Year of the Woman Farmer and spotlights DSF developments across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Collaboration in action

Every session in this year’s Annual Meeting programme will profile the DSF community, with collaboration at the heart of each presentation. The keynote session will bring together FEPALE, IICA, CAF and GDP for a bilingual English Spanish discussion on how collaborative governance is advancing sustainable dairy practices and data collection across Latin America and the Caribbean. The panellists will share how their collective efforts bring value to such an innovative initiative and will highlight the importance of engaging with regional and national dairy organisations and the success achieved from the initial pilots in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, and Uruguay.

Speakers from DSF members Dairy Farmers of Canada, FrieslandCampina, the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy, The Dairy Roadmap (UK), and Nestlé will share projects built around partnership. Topics range from pathways towards 2050 net-zero commitments to the origins of a replicable dairy sustainability impact fund, with perspectives spanning Africa, Indonesia, Europe, North America, Latin America and the Caribbean. The aim is simple: to send you away with ideas you can apply in your own collaborative work.

Highlights of the 2025 Annual Sustainability Progress revealed

Launching the 2025 Annual Sustainability Progress, DSF Director Brian Lindsay will reveal the highlights of the latest report. Attendees will be the first to hear of the 2025 aggregated dairy sustainability data across the 11 DSF Criteria. This report will be launched just in time for the UNFCCC Climate Change Conference (COP31), Antalya, Türkiye, where it will be invaluable for dairy sector colleagues attending, underpinning the dairy sustainability narrative.

A huge thank you to all the DSF members who contributed data for the report. Without the collaboration of global DSF Membership, the DSF would not be in a position to develop this unique report annually.

Register today for the three-hour virtual event on 3 November 2026 at 12 noon GMT.
