LSRS Aligned Dairy methodology

LSRS Aligned Dairy methodology

Many DSF members will be familiar with, or already using, the GHG Protocol Standards for corporate reporting. The recently released GHG Protocol Land Sector and Removals Standard (LSRS) brought colleagues from the Global Dairy Platform and SAI Platform together to develop a single, dairy-sector methodology aligned with the LSRS. As a generic standard, the LSRS does not provide sector-specific guidance. It is therefore up to individual land-based industries to develop practical guidance for its implementation.

This group of dairy processors, cooperatives and buyers has invested significant time in developing guidance to support the robust and responsible implementation of the LSRS across the dairy sector.
We are pleased to share that the guidance is now open for a four-week public consultation, coordinated by the International Dairy Federation (IDF). Following consultation, the guidance is intended to form part of the IDF catalogue for the global dairy sector.

We strongly encourage members to review the guidance and contribute to the consultation (finishing on September 25). You can access the guidance and all relevant consultation materials here.
