Modelling with GWP* – what does it mean for the global cattle sector?

The Global Dairy Platform and partners have published a briefing note which summarises recently conducted modelling research to better understand GWP*.  This modelling work builds on the previously released A literature review of GWP*.  The briefing note confirms that GWP* provides a more accurate evaluation of the global warming impact of methane than does GWP100. However, the modelling did reveal both potential strengths such as being an excellent pathways planning tool and limitations including not being an appropriate tool at individual farm level with regards to GWP*.
